Leveraging the Power of Sports

Sports have been part of the Bank of America culture for the better part of 130 years, when the company first sponsored employee baseball teams. This rich heritage is grounded in our belief that sports can bring individuals, communities and nations closer together, while creating opportunities to help our customers and our businesses move forward.

Today, Bank of America is recognized as a leading financial partner, advisor and sponsor across the global sports landscape. As a world-class financial institution with a dedicated Sports Finance and Advisory Team, we help owners, leagues and franchises address their full range of financial needs – from building stadiums to redesigning their capital structure to change-in-control transactions.

As a sports marketing leader, Bank of America is focused on baseball, football and motorsports as major platforms to advance business and community growth opportunities, proudly serving as the Official Bank of Major League Baseball®, the Official Bank of NASCAR® and the Official Bank of the NFL®, while supporting an expansive sponsorship portfolio that includes a variety of regional and cultural programming.

Whether it's providing complex financial solutions to leagues and teams, helping fans connect everyday banking to their passion for sports, or contributing to the economic impact of a community, Bank of America views its support for sports as victory for our associates, customers, communities and shareholders.

Baseball

Baseball has been part of the Bank of America culture since the 1880's, when the bank sponsored employee baseball teams in Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and other U.S. cities. In addition to serving as the Official Bank of Major League Baseball®, we also have long standing relationships, some dating back over 75 years, with several Major League Baseball Clubs including the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants. Additionally, Bank of America supports relationships with more than 20 Minor League Baseball teams and proudly serves as the Official Bank of Little League Baseball.

This unique association with America's National Pastime represents an unprecedented level of commitment. From big league ballparks to the neighborhood sandlots where kids first learn to play the game, only Bank of America works nationally and locally to create opportunities for fans to connect with baseball at all levels.

Motorsports

Bank of America is proud to be the Official Bank of NASCAR®, providing fans greater access to financial services and greater access to the thrills and excitement of racing. With a full array of products and services delivered through an unmatched network of convenient delivery options, Bank of America strives to meet the financial needs not only to NASCAR's 75 million fans, but also to its powerful community of teams and drivers, sponsor partners and businesses that support the operations and growth of the sport.

Bank of America's involvement with NASCAR dates back to the early 1980's, when its legacy banks in Virginia and North Carolina sponsored races and provided financing for motor speedways throughout the United States. Over the last two decades, the company's foray into racing has significantly expanded. Today, in addition to its agreement with the sport's sanctioning body Bank of America has partnerships with International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and Speedway Motorsports Inc. (SMI), and sponsors the NASCAR Banking 500 Only From Bank of America® at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.

Football

In 2007, Bank of America became the first-ever Official Bank of the National Football League®. This historic agreement expanded the bank's presence in America's most watched sport on television, which already included exclusive sponsorships of the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots™ and Washington Redskins.

The broad and avid appeal of the NFL gives us the opportunity to deliver the Bank of America l brand nationally and in some of the most passionate football cities in the country. We also partner with the NFL to enhance our collective community impact objectives that align with local market priorities, such as our support for Habitat for Humanity.

Regional

Bank of America is proud to support an expanded set of regional sponsorships that are critical to the economic, social and cultural vibrancy of the communities in which we live, work and play. This support is driven by the notion that healthy neighborhoods are healthier places to do business. Examples of our regional sponsorship investments include the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Bank of America Pavilion and the CIAA Basketball Tournament. The economic impact of such events can be substantial, providing an invaluable promotional opportunity for the host city and contributing to the economic base of the broader community, creating a more positive business environment in which to operate.
